Sorry it has taken me so long- changing computers and all...
So the holidays started off with home baked Christmas cookies from Connie in Missouri..
Then Jon got stranded in the city when he came to visit and his alternator died in his 3 series about 7 blocks from my house. He was afraid he would have an "Out of Towners" experience, but it turned out he got great service a few blocks away - and it was after 5pm on the Sunday before Christmas when he walked in and it was 1pm on Monday he got his car back at a nice price in very good shape.
Anyway... I made him show my how my birthday gift from Brent worked. We made a video of it's virgin run...

Then I got to have a Holiday tree for the first time in probably ten years. All my ornaments made the long sleep and were in good shape, even my little Z3 ornament (Thanks Pat and Jefffornow!)
I gave Rock all his gifts at Hanuka- and he got nothing for Christmas except to marvel at the skaters vibrating across a miniature Rockefeller Center. He also got snow on the balcony but he wasn't terribly impressed.
New Year's Eve was as Jon described, and we came back to my place to start a jigsaw puzzle, spent all day New Year's Day finishing the puzzle and watching funny movies.
